A skier early morning.
Today we will summit Castor (4223 m).

This is our peak for the day (Castor, 4223 m). We will reach the summit by walking on that steep ridge coming from the left. After summiting we will descend from the right also by walking on a very steep and scary ridge.

Here we are on the ridge right before reaching the summit. I'm trying to smile or maybe I have the mouth open because I need to breathe through the thin air.
We are standing on the summit (Castor, 4223 m) and we are watching the other rope team walking towards us.

It IS steep!

Our other rope team on their descent.

We reach Rifugio Quintino Sella (3585 m). We let our ropes and our backpacks dry. We also enjoy the nice sun, especially because we are not going to have much sun the following day.

The food in the Italian huts is just excellent. Exactly the right thing you need after a tiring day on the glaciers.
