Barcelona is characterized by modernism architecture.
This hotel is an example.
Gaudi is the most knowm architect of Barcelona.
La Pedrera was planned by him.
A view of the Ramblas
Las Ramblas are huge avenues.
In the middle of them you can find everything:
bars, restaurants, any kind of vendors and a lot of people.

La Sagrada Familia is a symbol of Barcelona.
It was also built by Gaudi.
He died after the begin of the works.
But it is not completed yet.

Gaudi liked round forms.
This is how the inner part of the roof lookes like.
The entrance portal.
Plaza de Espana!
And a view of Barcelona from the national art gallery museum.
The antenna of the Telefonica.
Another modern monument.

Before the thunderstorm ...
... after the thunderstorm.
Parque Guell, a huge park with a lot of modernistic monuments built by Gaudi.
He was inspired by reptils, especially by snakes and salamanders.
For example this huge place seems to be delimited by a huge snake.
