Go back to Palermo !

Welcome to Catania! It is the capital of the province, to which also our village, Vizzini, belongs to.
This Elefant (surnamed by the inhabitants "Leotro") of vulcanic stone is the emblem of the town. In front is the town hall.
A view to the cathedral of the holy Agata with a bysantinic style.
Apparently it was built on the same place where Agata was terribly martyred.
A good friend of mine, Giovanna, who showed me some parts of Catania.
At this point the cultural sightseeing trip (including Palermo, Agrigento and a bit of Catania) was more or less concluded and I met my family. This sweet little boy is my nephew, Simone.
My sweet nice, Debora, and Simone.
Here we are! My parents, my brother in law, Giuseppe, my sister, Giusi and the two youngest dependants ...
... tasting some Sicilian specialities "Pizzette, Arancini e Impanate".
We spent some time at the beach. This is the most south part af Sicily close to Portopalo; it is even more south then Tunis! The island is called "Isola delle Correnti", because the waters of the two seas "Mediterraneo" and "Ionio" meet there.
It was really worth to get up before the sunrise and hike through the natural reserve of "Vendicari".
The different types of vegetation there are quite interesting.
Again my nice
and my nephew.
My father, Debora and my grandmother, Giuseppina.

We reached the end! Are you going to visit Sicily?
Go back to Palermo !
